Achievements

Since 2002 through Reading is the Way Up^®, City National Bank has:

• Donated over 25,000 books to California and Nevada school libraries.
• Contributed over $1.8 million in grants for education across the state.
• Helped open nearly 20 new elementary school libraries through its partnership with The Wonder of Reading in Los Angeles.
• Raised over $150,000 in charitable gifts from colleagues and clients through its Reading is the Way Up Fund.
• Supported colleagues who have volunteered to read to children.

Program Recognition

• Received the 2005 President’s Volunteer Service Award, the 2005 Corporate Philanthropy Award from the Los Angeles Public Library
• In 2006, received the Corporate Award from the Getty House Foundation.
• Honored as the 2007 Corporate Visionary Partner by The Wonder of Reading.
• In 2007, received the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Corporate Citizen Award.
